It can be complex. How do you use the cisco codec now? Is it registered to an on premises phone system? registered to Webex cloud system using organizational account (so the room is registered) - or do you use individual user webex accounts and sign in?
Or perhaps none of these and the device is registered with Starleaf. - this is the worst case scenario for you as there is no direct equivalent - the codec cannot register with ms teams directly. Other better options exist but cost $. For example if you have a webex org account and register the device to webex. then purchase the correct licence/subscription you can join ms teams - actually what is often needed is a webex meeting and then the ms teams meeting joins the webex one.
Microsoft Teams And Webex Interop
If you have just one device then you may just have to stick with the web based scenario. This is much worse for folks who invested and have them everywhere - you certainly wouldn't change to MS teams without considering changing all room devices. other useful links:
